Six environmental researchers enter a swamp and one of them vanishes. The others later find her gored remains and fear a giant crocodile is responsible. Nobody in the village believes them, apart from an old crocodile hunter. When the crocodile itself appears, the youths try to protect it from the hunter but end up killing it themselves. As they leave the swamp, they witness the birth of an even bigger and more terrifying reptile.
