Augusto is 25 but still lives in the orphange where he was raised. When he falls in love with Marisa, he decides to leave ‘home’ but Marisa’s uncle, Cesare, opposes the match because Augusto has no prospective. Augusto becomes the leader of a gang of bumbling thieves and attempts to rob a wealthy industrialist, who takes pity on him and offers him a job in his company, enabling Augusto to wed Marisa with Cesare’s approval.
